Simple Christmas Cake Designs

Description

A festive and delightful cake perfect for the holiday season, customizable with colors and decorations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Frosting (for decoration)
  • Sprinkles or edible decorations (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add this to the butter mixture alternately with milk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
  8. Once cool, frost the cakes and decorate with food coloring, sprinkles, and other festive decorations as desired.

Notes

For best results, ensure butter and eggs are at room temperature. Don’t overmix the batter to maintain fluffiness.
